Our recently chosen school soccer team has won their first match against Tubungu Primary School.(3-2) Our team, which involves an abundance of students from grades  4-7, wore a red kit with white highlights, whilst our opponents had been wearing a shiny blue kit with white highlights on the pants.

Our team tried, toiled and pushed hard until they won the match after extra-time.

Congrats on your win guys. Keep it up!!

Time well spent

From July 11th -  15th, our learners went on a trip featuring places such as Maguga Dam, Hlane and Tambankulu  Sugar Museum. They also went to the Eswatini House of Parliament and the King Sobhuza Memorial Park.

A Quick Overview

On their first day, the students went to Hlane: Royal Game Reserve, where some saw elephants, lions and lioness and also impalas. Afterwards,  they ate for a few minutes, when Grades 6 and 7 went to the Tambankulu Sugar Museum. Here, they learnt about sugar cane, sugars, the harvesting of sugar cane, and regions in Eswatini where sugar cane is grown.

On their second day, students went on a trip to the The King Sobhuza Memorial and The National Museum. At the museum, they learnt of traditional tools and equipments as well as historic moments, monuments or people such as execution rock, kokana (small clay pots) and imigcwembe (meat bowls). They then went to the King Sobhuza Memorial Park, where they got to see a statue of King Sobhuza, which was quoted "Anginasitsa" | "I have no enemy"  on top, it was facing to the east, where we, Swazis, bakaNgwane, originated. They also saw the mausoleum which King Sobhuza was kept in, however, no pictures of it exist, to date. They also saw all of his cars and big parts of his life and learnt about places such as the origin of the name "Nhlangano."

Summary

Our students had a mind-blowing trip which for sure left them as happy as Larry. This memory will stay with them "till death do them part."
